LifeSize UVC Video Center uses recording keys to manage video recording. A recording key is a number up to 10 digits that is required to start recording or streaming from a LifeSize video communications system. When you create a recording key, its properties are associated with the recorded video (or series of videos).
For example, for a classroom lecture, you can use the name of the course, such as Chemistry 101, as the recording name. When you reuse this key for every lecture you record, the video recording has a unique name because the recording date is appended to the recording name. Viewers can search for these videos by name and date, description, and associated tags. Also, you can use the key to assign the video to a channel, and set user and group permissions.
